Trump administration considers expanding US travel ban to 36 countries

Local media in the United States reported on internal government documents dated June 14, which contained information about consideration of extending President Donald Trump's travel ban to cover up to 36 countries if security or diplomatic issues are not resolved within two months.

For the 36 countries, most are in Africa, the Caribbean, the Pacific and Central Asia. Of these 36 countries, Cambodia is included. The Washington Post released the internal documents, which detail a number of concerns that led to 36 countries being placed on the watch list, but do not detail which countries have issues, as each country has its own unique issues.
